Once the home of a prominent Fredericksburg mid-wife,
the restored 1940's frame house has long been associated with peaceful
rest. Before returning to their ranching labors outside of town,
ladies and their newborns would recuperate here. Today The
Herb Haus offers it guests two bedrooms, one with a double
bed, the other with a queen-size bed, a bath with footed tub (natural
toiletries supplied by The Fredericksburg
Herb Farm) and kitchen for light cooking. Cable TV included.

Breakfast emphasizes a continental herbal
cuisine: Homemade herb breads, sweet herb n'spice butter (almost
too pretty to eat), select jams, fresh fruits and juice with
edible flowers, coffee or tea, and complimentary bottle of
wine.
